| Children on their bicycles with no lights at night | | Tonight i saw children as well as adults on their bikes with no lights and no reflecting tops.The thing is some people do not even ride their bikes in a straight line or in a safe manner.Thankfully i saw a police woman stop the group of people on their bikes and i think from what i could gather this was not the first time,but i think it will be their last time.Do people not understand that they are going to get seriously injured,killed and that the driver is the one who has got to live with that if they are the one who crashes into them. | |
| | What do you think of electric bicycles? | | I have an electric bicycle,I'm a teacher in a training school and I use it when I have lessons on weekends. it always takes me half an hour to go there by electric bike. I drive it fast on the way and sometimes I just don't have enough time to see what are around,so sometimes I was nearly having accidents.
I can clearly remember the man driving electric bike between two cars and unlucky to be pushed onto the center part of the road ---died within just two seconds!the whole thing is: People in the car on right side opened the door on the left side without looking around and, it was the lead of the whole accident--the man drived the bike fast from the back and was hit by the door and quickly pushed aside to the road centre...we know both of them take half responsibilities here--but,should the electric bicycle here be blamed? | |

| Bamboo bicycles coming to North America!!! | | Read an article the other day about a bicycle company that is bringing bicycle frames made with bamboo instead of steel or aluminum tubing to the North American market. Panda bicycles is the brand and they say it has the strength the steel, the weight of aluminum and the vibration damping of carbon fiber. Do you think North America will welcome this product? Is the time right for it? They are used in other markets so it is not new technology. If you are interested just Google "Panda bicycles". | | Ladies wearing mini skirts and riding bicycles.... Sexy or Unsightly??? | | This afternoon, I watched High School Musical 3 with my daughters. Towards the end of the show, the lead actress Gabriella was riding a bicycle wearing a demin mini skirt. My daughter asked me why Gabriella can ride a bicycle wearing a mini skirt and why I always insisted that they have to wear pants when they ride bicycle? For me, I think it is out of decency that you wear proper attire when you are riding a bicycle due to the movement of the legs. Of cos, it is up to individual freedom of choice what they want to wear when they are cycling. And in the show, Gabriella was cycling so gracefully with mini skirt. So, what do you guys think??? | |

| People on bicycles. | | I have noticed alot people,kids and adults, like to ride their bikes on the wrong way on city streets and even on highways! It also happens on one way streets! I wonder if biker riders realize what they are doing or if they care? What realy bothers me is;aren't kids being tought proper bicycle saftey and rules? Any opinions? | |

| Colleges offering free bicycles to students who promise not to drive to school | | yes, this is true. There are some colleges who are now offering students a free bike if they promise not to drive a car to school, ever. I think that this is a great idea!! Not only will it help the environment, but save the students money in the long run. My only concern is bad weather.
