I've got a C.B. radio I keep on all the time; I like talkin' with the truckers, and I give out local info to truckers looking for addresses and stuff. And every once in a while, there's a bonus.Like today.I just heard a trucker asking if anyone at the truck stop had their radio on; after he hollered 3 times I asked if I could help him, told him I had a base station here in town. He said he had 60 quarts of ice cream that Wal-Mart had rejected he wanted to get rid of.[b]YES![/b] I told my neighbor, and he just drove out to get it.[b]FREE ICE CREAM!!![/b][em]wub[/em]Couple months ago, we got 6 free[b]cases[/b] of cookies from a trucker.Sometimes, life is[b]good[/b].Have you ever got something for free?[em]thumbup[/em] | |
| | do you have a nick name? if so is there a meaning behind it? | | of course my nick name is yankee. i use it for everything. how i got it was like about 15 yrs ago. i was into cb radios i used to use outlaw yankee, yeah for the reason i got in trouble. but a lady friend told me she didn't the like the outlaw part so she just called me yankee. not that i don't like the yankees, i do. but it's pretty much stands for that i don't hunt, fish, or like to many sports. i will watch some baseball not a whole game i get bored to fast. but yankee also stands for being honest, respectful to all no matter what. as straight forward and a good sence of humor. so what's your and what does it mean or stand for? | |

| | Have you ever used a police scanner before? | | Hey friends, just want to know if you've ever used a police scanner before. It's a device where you can plug it up inside of your home and listen then you can find out what all is going on in your town. We used to use one when we would go over to my mom in laws house. She would be able to know everything that was going on all over town by just staying tuned into her scanner. I don't hear people talk about them much these days and I was wondering if they are still around. Has anybody heard of this before of have you had much experience with using one. It kind of remind you of the old cb radios that truckers use.[em]thumbup[/em] Let's talk about it. | |
